From the 1st of July 2016 for the sixth time already our folk festival will echo through Lodz. Youth from several countries of Europe and the world will visit our city. This year, the energy of the young people inspired by folk will take to the streets, stages, catwalk and recording studio. For eight days, concert stages and downtown streets will attract us with traditional and contemporary rhythms, based on the cultures and folklores of various nations.
Young designers will show their textiles, clothes and fashion accessories, while photographers will capture images associated with folklore. Each year the festival brings new program elements, this time each participant of the festival will be able to show their talent during the filming of the videoclip on the streets of Lodz, studio recording of the specially composed festival song or during the weaving of the special installation on one of the historic buildings in the city centre.
We are also preparing concerts, exhibitions, fashion shows, flashmobs, music and dancing in the streets and an educational field game. Join 2016 Folk Inspirations!
